Beaches

The BigIsland  hasn’t greatness in name only, it actually offers many options for those looking to be in touch with nature. Are over 193 km ², 30 km long and 14 km wide of natural beauty ready to be discovered by you.
Altogether, the Big Island has 113 * beaches of varying sizes and characteristics, with sheltered waters or the open sea. Most beaches have few inhabitants or are deserted, some are well insulated. Overall, the intimacy between the Atlantic Forest and the sea is very large and in several places we observed the forest touching the sea. As the coast of the Big Island is well cut, the paradisiacal sites are abundant and many breathtaking.
There are 2 ways to visit the beaches:. Hiking trails linking the beaches among themselves by centuries and promenades, performed in schooners, barges and boats.
